At Thrive Farm in Simsbury, Connecticut, we believe in giving back to the land—and to the people who care for it. What started as Flamig Farm Earth Products has now grown into something more. With a new name, a new location across the Town of Simsbury, and a renewed mission, Thrive Farm is more than just a place to get mulch, topsoil, and firewood. It’s a place to learn, connect, and grow.
Rooted in Sustainability
The heart of Thrive Farm is our nonprofit farm, where we’re cultivating more than mulch and earth products. We’re creating a space where the community can come together to learn about sustainable living, regenerative farming, and how to care for the environment in practical, hands-on ways.
Throughout the growing season, we’ll be hosting workshops, school visits, and community events focused on composting, soil health, natural growing techniques, and more. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of land stewards—and to provide real tools and knowledge for people of all ages.

The best part? Our for-profit business—selling mulch, topsoil, and firewood—is what helps make it all possible. Every yard of mulch or cord of firewood you buy directly supports the nonprofit side of Thrive Farm. That means when you landscape your yard, you’re also planting seeds of education and sustainability here in Simsbury.
